ANNOUNCEMENT - Maverick Party Publishes Leadership Race Rules

Maverick Party Publishes Leadership Race Rules

December 1, 2021, Calgary, AB Jay Hill, Interim Leader of the Maverick Party, announced today the party’s Leadership Race Rules have been published and are now available at

Maverick Party will officially begin accepting leadership applications on January 3, 2022, with the vote taking place on Saturday, May 14th, 2022. All verified members as of April 30, 2022, will be eligible to vote for the leader of their choice.

The Maverick Party leadership committee has taken into consideration the youth of the party while establishing the criteria to apply.

The timing of the leadership race is opportune for Western Canadians. Our western industries such as softwood lumber, agriculture, and oil & gas, are facing endless attacks from not only our competitors, but from our own Liberal federal government. Meanwhile O’Toole and his Western Conservative MPs are deliberately ignoring issues critical to Western Canada out of fear their positions may offend voters in Central Canada.

Timing is perfect to elect a strong, permanent leader for the Maverick Party who will take the Party to the next level, continue to advocate for Western Canadians, and elect Maverick MPs to Parliament who will represent issues important to the West.
